Marathon:

1 of 3

Location:

Edinburgh, Scotland

Total distance run:

42.2 km

Travel time to next marathon start:

2 hrs 28 min

Route summary:

Marathon 1 is predominantly trail running, outside of the city centre. Leaving Edinburgh, runners make their way through the old town, along canals and out into the Pentland Hills, a Regional Park in Britain. Epic views of the city and outdoor scenery are part of this tour as you then wind your way back through the main streets of Edinburgh and finish at one of the most visited sites, Edinburgh Castle. This run takes you into one of the most mysterious cities in Europe and its beautiful surrounding countryside.

Interesting fact:

Much of J K Rowling’s inspiration for the Harry Potter books were derived from Edinburgh, whilst she was living there.

Marathon 2

Lake District, a World Heritage Site

Marathon:

2 of 3

Location:

Cumbria, England

Total distance run:

84.4 km

Travel time to next marathon start:

3 hrs 14 min

Route summary:

Set in the magnificent Lake District, this run certainly doesn’t disappoint on mountain and lake scenery. Starting in the quaint English village of Pooley Bridge, we make our way south along the shores of Ullswater, Lake District’s second largest lake, past Hallin Fell and turning back on yourself at Place Fell, continuing inland towards Lowther Castle, home to the Earls of Lonsdale in medieval times. A challenging route with an elevation again of over 1,200m, but well worth it!

Interesting fact:

Home of the Cumberland sausage, true Cumberland sausages are around 2 feet long and a quarter of an inch thick – we’ll have a bit of that!

Marathon 3

Glorious Snowdonia and Gwydyr forest

Marathon:

3 of 3

Location:

Snowdonia National Park, Wales

Total distance run:

126.6 km

Travel time to next marathon start:

Zero

Route summary:

The National Park of Snowdonia is where we finish this tour’s final marathon, and what a place to finish in. With quite the elevation gain, we start our adventure on the shores of the River Conwy, nestled in the lush Welsh mountain range, making our way west to Capel Curig. Truly special views of the Welsh countryside as we follow the landscape to the most northern point of Trefriw before winding our way back down south through the stunning Gwydyr Forest and to victory!

Interesting fact:

Wales’ highest mountain rage, Snowdon (3,560 ft)

You’re in Great Company

Learn what some of our runners have to say about our tours.

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll hurt! The challenge was immense, I had only ever run a couple of marathons, but training for run777 taught me what my body was capable of. Even before starting the 7 marathons I had smashed my PB by 20min, lost two and a half stone, and at 37yrs old, was in the best shape of my life. This fundamentally changed me, what an adventure, what a lifetime experience.

Grant Sidwell2018 Finisher + 2020 Runner

run777 was a rollercoaster of emotion, an immersive journey of self-discovery and an accelerated bonding experience: forging fond memories, fortitude and friendships to last a lifetime!

Rob Cloete2018 Finisher

An explosive week of variety, camaraderie and views! A real rawness to these events, a feeling of getting back to what is important and actually taking time to breath. The camaraderie was cracking, the crew were excellent and the views and terrain were out of this world.

Not sure?

You asked, we answered

Here’s our frequently asked questions

Only run a marathon

Many of our runners had only run a marathon. Follow the right training plan and get yourself ready in 16 weeks. It’s definitely achievable.

run777 sounds epic, just don’t have the time or not just there yet

Our weekend getaways make it easy to get your adventures in. You don’t have to take a week off, try a long weekend instead.

Want to build up to a run777, start with a run333 first and work your way up to one. run333’s are just as much fun over a shorter period.

Like variety?

Our runs take us through 3 countries where we find the best of each of them. Run from city to mountains, National Parks to ocean. We love variety and adventure.

Traveling is fun with family/friends

We recognise that travel is fun with family, whilst we promise you will make many friends on our tours, sometimes you just want to bring a +1, more info here.

Reducing our carbon footprint

We work hard to reduce our impact on this stunning world so we travel between countries in 1 coach which means our numbers are limited to enable this.
